Apostille in Tunisia
Hague apostille for Tunisian documents used abroad, and apostille coordination for foreign documents used in Tunisia.
Tunisia has been a party to the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention since 30 March 2018. A single apostille certificate now replaces the long chain of legalizations for documents going to the 120+ other member countries — France, Italy, Germany, Spain, the USA, the UK, Canada and many more.
Since 1 March 2019, apostilles on Tunisian public documents are issued by notaries designated by the Ministry of Justice. We prepare the file, check that the document is eligible, have it apostilled and, where needed, translated by a sworn translator — in the right order, which is where most people lose time.
Prices depend on the document, languages, deadline and destination country, so every file gets an individual, free quote.

Frequently asked questions
Which countries accept the apostille?
All countries that are party to the Hague Apostille Convention. For non-member countries (for example many Gulf and some African states) you need consular legalization instead — see our legalization service.
Should the translation be done before or after the apostille?
It depends on the receiving country. Usually the original is apostilled first and then translated, but some authorities also want the translation itself apostilled. We confirm the correct order before starting.
I live abroad. Can you handle the apostille without me travelling to Tunisia?
In most cases yes: we retrieve the document, have it apostilled and send it to you by express courier. Some steps may require a power of attorney, which we help you prepare.
Can you apostille a foreign document for use in Tunisia?
A foreign apostille must be issued in the country where the document was created. Through ABC Translation's international offices we can arrange it in many countries.
