Consular & Embassy Legalization in Tunisia

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassy legalization for countries outside the Apostille Convention.

Countries that have not joined the Apostille Convention still require the classic legalization chain: the issuing authority or ministry, then the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and finally the embassy or consulate of the destination country in Tunis. Each office has its own rules, opening hours and fees, and one missing stamp sends the whole file back.

We manage the chain end to end — for employment contracts in the Gulf, commercial documents for African and Asian markets, or civil records for marriages abroad. We can also arrange legalization of foreign documents for use in Tunisia through our international offices.

Prices depend on the document, languages, deadline and destination country, so every file gets an individual, free quote.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an apostille or a legalization?

If the destination country is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, an apostille is enough. Otherwise, consular legalization is required. Tell us the destination and the purpose and we will confirm.

How long does embassy legalization take?

It depends heavily on the embassy: some legalize within a day, others take one to two weeks. We give you a realistic timeline with the quote.

Do embassy fees vary?

Yes, each embassy sets its own fees, which can change and may depend on the document type. That is why we quote each file individually.

Can you legalize documents that were translated elsewhere?

Often yes, provided the translation was made by a sworn translator recognised by the authorities. Send us a copy and we will check.
